Reddish egret at San Pedro, Hato
At first it was difficult to find the egret. It was searching for food in the little pools of water left by high waves.
When a wave splashed into the rocks it made the egret very visible.
Finally, it took of.
Black-whiskered Vireo
Everyday at 4 pm this Vireo lands in the same spot for the same picture. What fun!
It then jumps in and out the water so fast that it hard to catch on camera.

The rain kept coming, the island became green.
This is not the way many will picture this Caribbean island.
But after months of rainfall, the green is overwhelming.
