Lady beetle Cycloneda devestita. June 3, 2017. Janwe / Korporaal. 11.00am.

This a picture of the first one I saw in Curaçao. San Sebastian. Size: about 1cm.

Today, we saw a smaller one, 3mm, on the coffee table outside. We put it on a kitchentowel and it stayed there for 15 minutes before it flew off.
Smart phone pictures. Not many pixels.

Yellow and Black Striped Beetle. About the size of a Lady Beetle.

Family of the Cucumber or Potato Beetle?
Biology
The adult Colorado potato beetle is a broad (1/4" wide), yellow-and-black striped beetle up to about 3/8" in length. The adults overwinter in the soil, emerging in the spring. They lay clusters of yellow eggs on the underside of the leaves of host plants. The humpbacked larvae are reddish-orange and have two rows of black spots along each side. Both larvae and adults chew holes in leaves and leaf margins. LINK for this info.

Green bug. Very similar to the Lady Bug. Not very known. There hasn't yet  been a serious study of the insect world of Curaçao. Then green bug acts like the Lady bug and is a useful predator in the fight against pests.
