Manzanilla tree. Warning!

Leaves and apples are poisonous. Also, while wet or dripping (from rain) do not walk under the Manzanilla trees; not good for your skin.
Bladeren en de appeltjes van de Manzanillaboom zijn giftig. Wandel niet onder de bomen als het regent. druppels van de bladeren kunnen al pijnlijke vlekken op de huid veroorzaken.

Green, green Curaçao!

The rain kept coming, the island became green.

This is not the way many will picture this Caribbean island.
But after months of rainfall, the green is overwhelming.

Many new ponds after months of rain.

Dragonfly. Never saw that one before.

Have to look up what waterbird this is

Heron, but what heron?

We'll find out soon!

Splash! Finally, rain!

Mófi, male and female. Black-faced Grassquit - Tiaris bicolor

Saffron Finch - Sicalis flaveola.

Another year of drought.

Only plants that get a bit of the few showers we have, keep their foliage.

 No green on the hills

 Zadelboom - Bursera simaruba

Wabi tree - Acacia tortuosa

After a bit of rain

All is green and blooming.
